2 Minute Facial Massage Tutorial
Ambassador, Jennie, shows you her tried and tested facial massage techniques, and explains what it can do for your skin. All you need are your hands and your serum!
Hi everyone, I’m Jennie and I wanted to share with you how I use facial massage techniques to keep my skin looking healthy and glowing.
Facial massage is so important for your skin and has so many benefits, both on the inside and the outside.
Not only can any kind of massage help release happiness hormones in your body, but it can also do wonderful things for your complexion too.
Firstly, it increases blood flow, a powerful tool for brightening your skin tone and giving you that natural, healthy glow.
It also encourages lymphatic drainage, meaning it helps to flush out toxins which can decrease puffiness, reduce dullness and give your complexion a boost.
Lastly, it boosts circulation, meaning that more oxygen is sent to your skin, increasing collagen production and cell renewal, so it can be great for reducing fine lines and leaving the skin looking smoother and fresher.
I use these techniques every day – it only takes around 2-3 minutes so it’s really easy to fit into your schedule. Here are the steps I use:
Step 1) Apply 1-2 pumps of 47 Skin Serum to clean fingers. This will help lubricate your facial massage, without clogging your pores. You could use a moisturiser instead, but avoid using facial or massage oils, as these can lead to blemishes.
Step 2) Define the jaw line. Use your second and third knuckles to sweep under the jaw line. This will increase circulation under your chin and help to define it. Do this 3 times on each side.
Step 3) Flush out toxins from your face. Place your thumbs under your ears, next to your jaw, and your fingers on the side of your cheekbones. Massage in circular motions for around 30 seconds.
Step 4) Release facial tension to help your face look more relaxed, and to help reduce stress lines. Make a fist with your hands and place them on your lower cheeks. Wiggle them from side to side for around 30 seconds (this one may make you look a bit strange, so best to do this somewhere you won’t be overlooked!)
Step 5) Smooth fine lines to give your face a lift. Use the tips of your fingers to gently sweep upwards in short, tapping motions. You can do this on your smile lines or forehead, or wherever as needed. Do it for around 30 seconds.
After each facial massage session, you should see your skin instantly have a bit more colour and it might even feel smoother.
For the best results, I would recommend doing this every day for a couple of weeks, and you should start seeing your skin become smoother, healthier and brighter.
I hope you’ve enjoyed these techniques and they help you feel even more confident about your skin!
